Endomed is proud to announce its sponsorship of the Northside Wizards basketball program, supporting the club’s NBL1 North women’s and men’s teams as they compete in one of Australia’s most important basketball development pathways.
The partnership reflects a simple belief at the heart of Endomed’s business: healthy communities matter.
While Endomed’s day-to-day work is focused on supporting clinicians, hospitals and healthcare teams with trusted endoscopy products, health is bigger than the procedure room. It is also built in local clubs, community facilities, junior pathways and the sporting environments that keep people active, connected and inspired.
Northside Wizards is one of Brisbane’s leading community basketball organisations, with more than 5,000 players, coaches and supporters, over 30 junior and senior representative teams, and nearly 400 domestic teams competing each week. The club also fields women’s and men’s teams in NBL1 North, the Queensland conference of the national NBL1 competition.
NBL1 sits directly below Australia’s premier national basketball competitions and plays an important role in developing and retaining elite basketball talent. For players, coaches and supporters, it provides a high-performance environment with a strong connection back to community sport.
As part of the sponsorship, the Endomed brand will feature prominently on player kit and signage around the court, helping support the club while building visibility with the Northside Wizards community.
A key part of the partnership is direct player sponsorship of Tyler Williams and Courtney Virgo, both listed with the Northside Wizards NBL1 program. These player sponsorships are designed to help retain talent within the club and support the athletes who contribute so much to the performance, culture and future of the Wizards program.
For Endomed, the alignment is clear. “Sport helps build healthier, more resilient communities,” said Graham Turk, Endomed’s Director of Operations. “It gives young people role models to look up to, creates pathways for talent, brings families together, and strengthens the local networks that help communities thrive.”
That philosophy sits comfortably alongside the Northside Wizards’ own commitment to creating a strong basketball pathway — from grassroots participation through to elite competition. By supporting the Wizards’ NBL1 North women’s and men’s programs, Endomed is helping back the people, players and community structures that make local sport so valuable.
Endomed is excited to be part of the Wizards’ NBL1 North journey and looks forward to seeing both teams continue to compete, develop and inspire.
